APPRENTICESHIP APPLICATION PROCESS/ REQUIREMENTS:

To apply for ABC SoCal Apprentice Programs, please see below for the following steps.

STEP 1:

Complete the information on the Apprentice Application and submit the completed application with the following required items to any of our ABC SoCal locations. 

 These six (6) items must be submitted before your application can be processed.

  • Must be 17 ½ and Older to Apply (Legal Guardian must sign if under 18)
  • A photo copy of your High School Diploma or GED
  • An enlarged photocopy of your Social Security Card
  • An enlarged photocopy of your Driver’s License
  • A K4 DMV printout (driving record) You must personally go to the DMV to request this
  • Sealed Official Transcripts; indicating one year of high school algebra or one semester of college algebra with a passing grade.

 

STEP 2:

Once we receive your application and all required documentation (listed above) your application will be reviewed and you will be scheduled for:

  • Aptitude Test – to which applicants will be administered McGraw-Hill’s TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) free of charge. This test contains sections on the following subjects: Reading, Language, Mathematics Computation and Applied Mathematics. Applicants must attain a passing minimum score of 70% or better. *You have two opportunities to pass the test, should you not pass the test on your second try, you will have to wait ONE YEAR to re-apply for the program.
  • Oral Interview – Applicants must attain a passing score of 80% or better. *Should you not pass the interview process the first time, you will have to wait ONE YEAR to re-apply for the program.
  • Orientation –A day for signing paperwork and learning about ABC SoCal.
