Where do you come in?

As a constituent, you have a vital role to play in the legislative process.  When you take the time to write, call or visit our elected officials in-person, they listen and take what you say into consideration.  Your story can change their view on the issues that affect you, your employees and your community.

It all comes back to the mantra: GET INTO POLITICS OR GET OUT OF BUSINESS

Because the construction industry has more government rules and regulations than most, ABC SoCal strives to provide our members with excellent Government Affairs representation. That commitment to excellence was honored for the third year in a row with an ABC 2014 Best Practice Champions Program Award!

ABC National had an outstanding showing this year with 67 total submissions for the 2014 Best Practice Champions Program. ABC SoCal's submission, "The California Legislature: Eliminating Democrats Supermajority in the State Senate and State Assembly" exceeds standards as a Chapter Best Practice Champion and has won a Chapter Award of Merit, which was presented at the Chapter Awards celebration on March 3rd in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

All members are encouraged to download the newest tool released through ABC National - The ABC Action App. Download the app through ITunes or Google Play stores.

Not only can you read summaries of important issues, you can also send messages to your legislator with just one click. The Chapter staff members have downloaded and are using this valuable app so that we can remain up to date on the challenges our members face in the fight to preserve and protect fair and open competition.

Users also can stay up-to-date on policy issues, see how their representatives voted, track Key Votes and share information via email, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
